Briefing : My fence gave me a good deal on those crystals, and he
was practically begging me for more. I didn't know where else to get those
crystals, so I knew this was going to be a rather difficult task. If you know me,
no job is too hard to pass up.

While I was at the pub I heard some expeditioners talk about exploring a canyon
not too far from here. They mentioned how lucritive it would be to find treasure,
but they also mentioned how dangerous it was considering some of their fellow
expeditioners barely escaped with their lives. The only thing that makes me
interested in exploring that canyon is that Mr. Periwinkle mentioned finding
crystals in a nearby canyon, so I'm hoping this is the one he was talking about.
Otherwise I'll be visiting a death trap for nothing.

Hintergrund:

Mein Hehler kaufte mir die Kristalle für einen guten Preis ab und fragte gleich
nach weiteren Exemplaren. Mir war nicht klar, wie und wo ich an weitere
Kristalle kommen könnte, daher ahnte ich, daß mich eine schwierige Aufgabe
erwartete. Doch wer mich kennt, der weiß, daß ich nicht so schnell die Flinte
ins Korn werfe.
In der Kneipe belauschte ich ein paar Forschungsreisende, die sich über die
Erkundung einer nicht weit von hier gelegenen Schlucht unterhielten. Dabei
erwähnten sie auch Schätze, die sie bei der Exkursion bergen könnten, jedoch
auch die damit verbundenen Gefahren. Offenbar haben einige ihrer Forscherkollegen
die Reise fast mit ihrem Leben bezahlt. Das einzige, was mich an der Expedition
in besagte Schlucht interessieren könnte, ist die Tatsache, daß Herr Periwinkle
einmal Kristalle aus einer nahegelegenen Schlucht erwähnt hatte. Nun hoffe ich,
daß es sich jeweils um selbigen Ort handelt. Denn ansonsten würde ich mich
unnötigerweise in Todesgefahr begeben ...
