There are 3 versions of this mission, the original magesarea.zip (1.0 version) a 'lite' version magesarea_e.zip (1.0) and an improved 1.1 version namely magesarea_ENG.zip.
With all 3 versions there are 2 Newdark bugs that significantly affect gameplay namely the floor trap in the Path of Enlightenment does not work correctly (there is an in-game solution) and the doors in the Word puzzle do not open (game stopping bug).
Patching with the latest TFix may resolve both of these issues http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134733
However you are strongly advised to patch all 3 version with the .dml fix by Voodoo47 to guarantee correct gameplay

Warning: DO NOT install the .dml file in your main Thief folder, instead install it ONLY in your FMsel/FMs/magesarea root folder.
