Date of Release : 12/13/03
Description :
Due a dramatic rise in crime, helped in no small part by the contributions of a certain master thief, the Bluecoats and Hammerites of the City were in an uproar. Between the increased patrols, nightly curfews, and frequent raids, it was becoming quite unhealthy to be a thief, even a very uncommon one. Until the authorities settle down, Garrett decided to spend some time in his "summer cottage" - a small hut on the edge of Blackwood Forest, well outside of the City. At first the quiet and simplicity of forest were relaxing. But within a week, Garrett was restless for the action and thrills of the City.
Another uneventful week passed, and the master thief found himself ready for any distraction to liven up his boring days of reading and gardening. So when a strangely-dressed pagan and his pet burrick, "Fluffy," wandered up to his hut, he was only too happy to offer them a quick meal and a place to rest for night in exchange for a little conversation. The pagan was strange one, though, and more than a little crazy. He spoke in rhymes and insisted that the clouds were inhabited by giants, beasts, and unimaginable treasures. It was a measure of how bored the thief was that he found even such questionable company intriguing. The next morning, a terrible rending noise awoke Garrett from a sound slumber. His brief guest was nowhere in sight, but in his garden, much to the master thief's disbelief, towered a gigantic beanstalk - reaching all the way to clouds. Perhaps his crazy guest was not so crazy after all . . .
