After a series of dramatic events in The City, I've decided to take a little vacation and
I've been staying in a little town called Arkham two days journey outside the city.
At first I protrayed myself as a simple laborer with the idea of gaining access to wealthy
people's homes to case them for potential burglarly later. However I haven't had much sucess,
it seems that there have been a series of mysterious attacks and
disapperances in the area culminating in the discovery of a murder victim
(in a rather messy state I hear) a week before my arrival.
Due to these events, most people of means are leaving in droves and the
poorer members of the community barricade themselves in there homes in the evening hours.
However through a contact in the local underground, I have a potentially luctrative assignment-
A rich nobleman by the name of Sir William from the City has asked me to do a little 'investigation'
into the actions of a guy named Lord Charles. I'm rather suspicious of noble clients due to the fact
I've robbed half of them over the years-but after arranging a meeting with the man at a local inn where
I knew I had the advantange (a bitter lesson I learned after my foolish trip to Constantines mansion
without taking percautions so many years ago) I agreed to hear him out.
However I was soon reassured, turns out the poor guy's daughter has been kidnapped and he
suspects Lord Charles is the one behind it due to the fact the two seem to be at odds after
William broke off buisness dealings with the guy because of his shady activities. Charles has
a small country home nearby which is run by his top servant, some guy named Kenneth who is
rumored to be a bit of a wizard. Charles is out of town at the moment, perhaps to throw off
suspicion-and there are only a few guards so this should be an easy job-get in and get the girl along
with some spare change...but I cant help but have a creepy feeling about this job.
It's time to begin...
