The story takes place after the death of Father Karras.


Introduction:

An excentric nobleman contacted me a few days ago by the usual 'conventional' ways. He said that if I could snag an item called The Darkstone Gem for him I would be made a rich man in no time. Such a request sounded both familiar and dangerous... But I accepted. He couldn't have the delicacy of giving me much or any information about the artifact. However, he had the kindness of telling me where to start looking. Not too long ago a conflict sparked between the local thieves' guild and Hammerites, which resulted in a full lockdown on this part of town. Apparently someone put their nose where they shouldn't have, so the City Watch is on full alert.
The best I can do for now is to try and stop all the fuss to get both thieves and Hammerites out of my way, in addition to find information about this particular trinket. If I don't come across the artifact in my first attempt, I should be able to find some good valuables in this section of The City. That should make the job a little less painful, and more profitable.
