Date of Release: February 29, 2004
Version: 1
Description: A Thief 2 Fan Mission for Komag's 5th Small Mission Contest. (8, 40x40x40)
Briefing: I have a simple job planed for this evening. Where have I said THAT before!?
The last name is the same but this time it's a nephew. Jason Bafford...an
explorer of sorts. He's just returned from an expedition from parts
unknown where he uncovered a valuable Golden Skelleton. The word on the street
is that he's got the bones stashed somewhere in his house. In a few weeks he's
planning on auctioning them off to the highest bidder at a special event at
Watercest Museum.
Heh, not if I get there first.
The place is heavily guarded so I'd better be extra careful. However it's not too
big so Bafford can only have so many hiding spaces. I should be able to line my pockets
with enough loot to pay the rent for a while while I hunt for them.
No sence in waiting.
It's time to begin.

Note from the designer: There are some long sight lines outside. I've had no crashes due to poly
counts but my machine might be faster than yours. I'd suggest quick-saving
before you start going to any high spot where you are going to look back at the house.
The highest counts are in the far SW and SE corners of the map and up on the balconies.
If you get on the roof you'll probably need to crouch to go over the crown of
roof. That's because Garrett's head is hitting the ceiling of the mission. That's
right...you can reach right up and touch the sky!
Sound propagates much further in this mission than you are probably used to. I'm
not thrilled with it but Room Brushing this thing was causing all kinds of problems.
(read: CRASH!) As a result the Room Brushes are pretty big! I've adjusted the AI a bit to try
and balance things out. Suffice it to say, BE EXTRA QUIET and use those moss arrows!
(What can I say...I'm still a bit of a Drom noob.)
Have fun climbing and jumping about. You can go crazy with this map, especially once you have
beaten the game and don't care about alerting the AI. Go back and have fun running around wreaking
havoc and attempting insane leaps and such. Many high jumps will only cost you a shield or three.
====== CONSTRUCTION =================================================================================================
Base: From scratch
Build Time: About 80 hours I guess. Say...20-30 good sessions.

: RALPH, The Wonder Llama.
: 40 Specially Trained Ecuadorian Mountain Llamas & 14 North Chilean Guanacos
(Closely related to the llama).
