Description:
The last events lay awhile back. Sudden turns... disappointment... and another
lost chance of an early retirement. The landlord is gnashing his teeth, the old cheapskate.
Slowly, this is wearing me down. I had already resigned myself to going to the streets again
when unhoped for - fate in form of an uninvited guest knocked at my door. The dagger
ready, I eased open the door; but nobody was there. As I was turning back I noticed it.
Totally inconspicuous, a sealed envelope lay before me.
I made sure nobody was watching me and took the letter... How great was the surprise
when I read the lines. This message could change my life. Maybe retirement is closer
than ever...

Important:
- This is my first mission for Thief II and the first part of a possible series.
- Find the bow as soon as possible. Finding first the bow and then the arrows
makes it a bit more realistic. If the arrows do not work - this is no bug!
- Watch out for windows. Guards outside might see you through them.
- Not all rooms are accessible from the beginning. Some not at all.
- Look for a way out only after all other goals have been achieved. You won't be
able to return to the estate.

Beschreibung:
Die letzten Ereignisse liegen schon eine ganze Weile zur?ck. Urpl?tzliche
Wendungen... Entt?uschungen... und wieder keine Chance auf den Ruhestand. Der
Vermieter knirscht schon wieder mit den Z?hnen, der alte Raffsack. Langsam beginnt
mir alles ?ber den Kopf zu wachsen. Ich hatte mich schon damit abgefunden, wieder
einen Gang durch die Stadt zu machen, um mir den n?tigsten Lebensunterhalt zu
verdienen, als unverhofft das Schicksal in Form eines ungeladenen Besuchers an
meine T?r klopfte. Mit dem Dolch griffbereit am G?rtel n?herte ich mich der T?r
und ?ffnete sie einen Spalt weit, aber niemand war weit und breit zu sehen.
Gerade drehte ich mich um, da fiel es mir auf. Ganz unscheinbar lag ein Briefcouvert
mit einem Siegel vor meinen F??en.
Ich vergewisserte mich, dass mich niemand beobachtete und nahm den Brief an mich...
Wie gro? war mein Erstaunen, als ich die folgenden Zeilen las. Dieser Nachricht
k?nnte mein Leben ver?ndern. Vielleicht ist mein Ruhestand n?her denn je....

- Dies ist meine erste Mission f?r Thief II und der erste Teil einer m?glichen
Serie.
- Findet m?glichst fr?h den Bogen! Dies tr?gt ein bisschen zum Realismus bei, wenn
man erst den Bogen und dann die Pfeile findet. Falls n?mlich die Pfeile nicht
funktionieren - das ist kein Bug!
- Passt gut in den R?umen mit Fenstern auf! Es k?nnte Euch eine Wache von drau?en
erblicken.
- Nicht alle R?ume sind am Anfang betretbar. Manche ?berhaupt nicht.
- Sucht erst nach dem R?ckweg, sobald alle anderen Ziele erf?llt sind. Wenn es kein
Zur?ck mehr gibt, ist es zu sp?t.

- Es ist jetzt eine R?ckkehr m?glich, wenn man zu fr?h am Ausgang angelangt ist.
