Tales from the Cleft: Vandal

===================================================================================

Title : Tales from the Cleft: Vandal (V 1.0)
Author : Balboa (Doug Brainard)
Contact Info : dbrainar@rochester.rr.com
Date of release : February 14, 2009 (it's a love story) ((no, really))
Filename : vandal.zip
Description : This is the first of two missions.
The second is Tales from the Cleft: Ladytaker

Briefing : Smelly, dusty, old books are not your usual fare.
Except when they are bound in gold plate and studded with precious gems!

Robert Bartholomew Hunter is known to be a wealthy noble with a taste for
ancient tomes, and an ample bank account. Word is that the Sir is away for
the season on a lengthy cruise, and his summer house should be lightly guarded,
including his priceless book collection. You also heard that there was a secure
section of the basement, to which Lord Hunter has the only key. You need that key.

All you have to do is pop in and grab the collection. However, it seems that
Lord Hunter has recently installed a new security system. You will have to
disable it, and do so before being seen.

Finally, make your way back home. While you're at it, pick up a few trinkets
on your way out to cover next months rent. But don't kill any innocents.
There's no profit in it.

* Cautions & Caveats *

Yes, the movies are big, but they are a major part of the story, and this mission is all about story. You can play both missions without the movies, but I hope you would enjoy the missions better with them.

Stay away from cliff walls and deep water. Really long views WILL cause framerate problems (or worse), and there is no objective requirement to go there. Everywhere else is fair game.

It's not my thing, but ghosting should be possible.
There is one mandatory scripted encounter, and one smashing required for full loot.

=============================================================
* Construction *

Base : A 16x16x16 Jorge-textured, fill air brush.
Build Time : Ages come and pass
Difficulty Info : Normal has low loot goal.
Hard has a higher loot goal, just barely possible if you are only browsing.
Expert is 98% of mission loot total, and some opportunities come but once.
